‘Queer Eye’ Ends After 10 Seasons

The Netflix show Queer Eye, a reboot of Bravo’s Queer Eye for the Straight Guy (2003), is ending its 10-year run on Netflix. It may not have been the cultural phenomenon its predecessor was, but it had its fair share of fans. Both shows perpetuate stereotypes about gay men, but critics have lauded the reboot for being less superficial than its predecessor. Queer Eye has won 10 Emmy awards so far.

For years, there have been rumors of tension between the cast members, and the Washington Post appears to have confirmed that dynamic, implying that Karamo Brown has been bullied by the other cast mates. To the Fab Five’s credit, none of the behind-the-scenes drama spills over into any of the episodes, which focus on straight men getting a life makeover from the queer guys. In fact, they all have great chemistry together, on-camera at least.

The final season takes place in Washington D.C.
